Reprints; manuscripts of speeches and addresses; book reviews; articles; published material. Reprints and draft versions of speeches and addresses (1954-1973), by Seeger, prepared for the American Physical Society, the Washington Academy of Sciences, other various learned societies, and university commencement exercises. Topics include education, art and science, the humanist tradition of science, and Galileo. Draft manuscripts (1965-1970) of book reviews and published articles, for both scientific and non-scientific audiences, deal with science in relation to society, religion, and politics. Published materials (1944-1963) include harder-to-find publications in which Seeger's popular and scientific articles appeared, such as the Young Catholic Messenger and the proceedings of the American Catholic Philosophical Association; included are reports prepared by Seeger for the U.S. Navy, Bureau of Ordnance.
